I was born in southeastern Oregon and have been photographing scenic and natural wonders since 1972. Photography has remained a passionate avocation throughout the years. It has always brought me great pleasure and personal balance to be in nature: to witness its glory and then to attempt to capture those unusually illuminated moments that are there and - just as quickly - gone. That is my niche of sorts, and provides the viewer with a broad overview and perspective of my work. The artist in me has attempted to imbue these moments with a feel of beauty and honesty.
Poetry perhaps better conveys the outlook toward nature which my photographic
work
attempts to capture. Click below to read:
Photography and writing are ultimately spiritual vehicles of expression on a continuous journey of personal exploration. May you enjoy my visual journey and, of course, your own. My greatest reward is in the potential for inspiring others to make an effort to move closer to nature and thus discover within themselves a uniquely personal vision quest.
Thank you for spending a few moments with me while exploring my work.

Bell Rock Energy Bolt
This is one of the images from the "Bell Rock" series, taken near Sedona, Arizona - a region well-known to the metaphysical community. Like the others of the series, it contains a fascinating artifact that was not seen by the photographer at the time the photo was shot. You decide if it is metaphysical or not - nonetheless, the image, like the others in this "Bell Rock" series, is quite beautiful and thought-inspiring.
Pacific Dawn
The images in this "Half Moon Bay" series were taken - almost on the spur of the moment - during a morning drive through the California coastline near Monterey. The sunlight was shifting through the sea mist in constantly changing patterns that called out to be - quickly - captured on film.
Lichen Abstract
The "Abstract" series contains an eclectic collection of unusual surfaces, shapes and light. We can often see more than our minds might immediately reveal to us.
Sedona CloudCrawl
The "Atmospherics" series gathers together images from all over the USA - fascinating, colorful and mystical cloud formations.
Shasta Morning Glory
Several images in this "Mt. Shasta" series were taken during a total lunar eclipse in the fall of 1996. Like the Bell Rocks of Arizona, Mt. Shasta is the reputed site of a spiritual "energy vortex". This Northern California volcano is well-known to the spiritual community and has been a place long-revered by Native Americans.
Mystical Canyons
The images in this "Random Light" series were taken throughout the United States - wherever the opportunity arose for a striking or interesting image. The photographs in this series include landscapes and "skyscapes", desert animals, flowers, and natural abstracts. "Mystical Canyons" is now available in a larger 30"x40" format. See the order form for more information
Ship Rock
Images seen in the "Recent Additions" series are constantly being updated and added as my journeys around the United States continue. Although this page is currently under development, new images will randomly be presented here over the coming months.
